Afterschool STEAM Program Management for NYC Schools

Turn Afterschool Time Into Hands-On Discovery

What happens when students have the freedom to build, experiment, code, create, and ask “what if?” Lola & Kids provides afterschool STEAM program management for schools throughout New York, introducing students to science, technology, engineering, art, and math through age-appropriate projects and creative problem-solving.

From early science exploration to introductory coding, our enrichment programs help students turn curiosity into active learning.

We also help schools manage the people, scheduling, and operational details behind the program, making it easier to bring engaging STEAM enrichment directly to students.

Bring STEAM Programs to Your School

Managed STEAM Enrichment for NYC Schools

Lola & Kids partners with schools to provide structured after-school programming without requiring administrators to coordinate every element themselves.

Our managed enrichment approach can support:

  • Program staffing
  • Scheduling and coordination
  • Age-appropriate curriculum
  • Day-to-day program operations
  • Communication with school partners
  • Semester-based enrichment
  • Multiple enrichment categories through one partner

As your afterschool STEAM program partner, we’ll work with your school to identify programming that fits your students, available space, schedule, and broader enrichment goals.

Explore Our STEAM & Technology Programs

Our afterschool enrichment STEAM program gives students opportunities to investigate ideas through active, project-based experiences.

STEAM Squad (Pre-K)

Designed for young learners, STEAM Squad transforms big questions into opportunities for hands-on discovery. Students might investigate magnets, tackle building challenges, observe simple science reactions, or create art extensions connected to what they’re learning.

Guided exploration and open-ended play encourage students to experiment, make observations, solve problems, and stay curious.

Pre & Early Reader Coding: Dinosaurs (1st-2nd Grade)

Coding doesn’t have to start with complicated programming languages. Young students learn foundational coding concepts through dinosaur-themed challenges and age-appropriate activities. Sequencing commands and solving simple logic problems help students begin developing computational thinking through play.

Introduction to Coding: Digital Innovators (3rd-5th Grade)

Older elementary students explore coding by creating interactive projects and tackling hands-on challenges. Students practice sequencing, logic, and problem-solving while discovering how technology can bring ideas to life and solve problems.

Programming availability can vary by school, grade level, semester, and instructor.

Why STEAM Belongs After School

After-school enrichment gives students room to investigate ideas differently than they might during the regular school day. A building challenge can become an engineering problem. A surprising reaction can lead to a science question. A coding puzzle can introduce logical thinking. A creative project can demonstrate how art and technology intersect.

These experiences encourage students to test ideas, encounter challenges, revise their approach, and keep experimenting. We strive to create an environment where curiosity drives learning.
