We’re thrilled to welcome a new member to our Lola & Tots community — celebrated author and mama, Ashley Woodfolk, who recently joined our Coworking + Care space with her 1-year-old daughter.
Ashley is the author of Beach Hair, a beautiful, affirming picture book that celebrates Black joy, natural hair, and sun-soaked summer days. It’s the kind of story we love at Lola’s — rooted in culture, representation, and pride. This book was already part of the Lola library, so imagine our excitement when Ashley joined our community.
We’re especially excited to have Ashley in our space because we love hosting authors — especially those who uplift diverse voices and create stories that help our kids feel seen and celebrated.
Ashley is also the author of several acclaimed young adult novels, including:
