a little bit of theater in the park

Who would have thought that amidst the bustle of the city, nestled among the fall foliage, sat a cozy little marionette cottage. We took advantage of the spring-like weather and indulged in a little holiday fun. The 3 Bears Holiday Bash at the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theater was the perfect theater introduction for my 21-month-old. I cannot recommend this show enough. My little Lola sat through the entire, hour-long show without hardly blinking.  She loved watching the energetic, stringed puppets dance across the stage and the coziness of the theater definitely made us feel like we were part of the show.

Afterwards, I seized the opportunity and took a few shots of the little one as we made our way to turtle pond which was just steps away from the cottage. Hanging out at the bridge over turtle pond was one of the perks for Sofia.. she was delighted to watch the ducks swimming underneath us. we both won!

The show is running until the end of the month and there are still tickets left so, if you’re craving a holiday show but are scared to take your toddler, here’s a chance for a little theater fun.
