One of the things that gets me excited about a new season is switching things up in my little one’s closet. Unfortunately, money is an object, as it is with most, and so I can’t completely create a brand new, season-appropriate wardrobe so what do I do? I get creative.
I know some parents don’t like (or have time) to put much thought into what their little one(s) will wear since the main goal is to simply get out the door… let’s be honest, life with kids is always a rush. Here are a few easy tricks on not breaking the bank while still adding a little stilo to the fall season. I know I have girls and boys’ fashion is quite different but if you master the art of layering and working with textures, you’ve got it all figured out.

Denim works well for summer and fall; for both girls and boys. Rompers are a fan fave because we get to use with bare legs in summer…
and with knee highs during the fall (Cat & Jack at Target has a pretty cool bunch). Layer up with a chunky sweater and you are ready to go.
During the summer, play up the neon tones with a bag or other bold accessory.
Rock a statement tee from one of your favorite stores like this one from zara.
Then, throw on a chunky solid sweater and you’re chilly-weather proof.
Summer means flowy dresses with high buns and versatile sandals.
For the fall, we add tights, a cardigan and rock a turban…
layer with a sweater jacket. Fall fun, let’s go!
until next year…
